Prizes
- First prize: 1 work: ¥2 million
- Second prize: 2 works: ¥500,000 each
- Honorable mentions: 7 works; ¥100,000 each (All including tax.Total purse: ¥3.7 million)
Additional prize
If the sponsor judges that a prize-winning work has special merit from a public-relations standpoint, it will create a video based on that idea. Competition applicants are encouraged to express ideas that take into account the possible creation of such a video.
Announcement
Prize-winners will be notified of the results of the jury, which will also be announced in the December 2005 issues of "Shinkenchiku" and "a+u" and on this competition's homepage.
Registration method
To enter this competition, persons must first register on the above homepage. A registration number will be issued by e-mail after the registration form has been properly completed. Each applicant should keep a record of this registration number, as it will be needed for entering the competition.

* Registration for the competition will take place only on the homepage.

(Works brought directly will be accepted until noon; mailed works must be postmarked no later than this date.)
Items to be submitted
All expressions of design intentions such as design drawings (the entrant is free to choose the scale), perspectives, sketches, and photographs of models must be on a single sheet of Kent or similarly thick paper (measuring 600 mm x 840 mm). Entrants are free to adopt their own methods of expression, but the paper must not be mounted on a panel. An explanatory text concerning the work, if included, must be accommodated on the abovementioned sheet of paper and limited to 200 characters, if in Japanese, and 60 words, if in English. (Texts must be in either Japanese or English.)
Questions and answers
There will be no questions and answers concerning the theme.
Entrants should use their own judgment on matters other than the rules of the competition.
Method of submission
The registration number, home address, name (with 'kana' if in Japanese), age, telephone number, place of employment or school, address, telephone number and e-mail address should be clearly indicated on the back of the entry. The entry should be brought directly, or mailed by air or by courier to the address below.

Other rules
- Entries are limited to previously unpublished works.
- The simultaneous submission of the same work in another competition should be avoided.
- Entrants will retain the copyright to submitted works, but the sponsor has the right to publish prize-winning works and first rights of negotiation concerning design registration or commercialization of a work.
- The sponsor has the right to make a video of a work awarded the additional prize.
- An entered work must not, in any part or its entirety, infringe on the copyright of a third party. No image reproduced from a magazine, book or website may be used. The sponsor may cancel the selection of any entry that in the sponsor's judgment may infringe on the copyright of a third party.
- Entered works will not be returned; entrants are advised to make copies of works before submission.
