Architectural “Newness” That Compels a Conversion of Values
Shinkenchiku Residential Design Competition 2010 was undertaken with Ryue Nishizawa serving as judge. A total 779 entries had been received when the competition closed on December 24, 2010. Of these, 599 were from Japan and 180 from other nations. The judging commenced in late January 2011 and one First Prize winner was chosen, along with one Second Prize winner, four Third Prize winners, and four Fourth Prize winners. This year, entries were received in the form of digital data and the judging was also undertaken by means of digital equipment.
